Bob Moog Foundation Board of Directors

Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director

Michelle is Bob’s third daughter. She assumed the post of volunteer director of the Bob Moog Foundation in 2005, shortly after Bob’s passing and became  full-time Executive Director of the Foundation in February 2007. Since that time, she has lead the Foundation in its goals of creating a Moogseum, preserving Bob’s archive and creating a Student Outreach Program.

Ileana Grams-Moog, President

Ileana is Bob’s second wife and shared his life for over 11 years before his death in 2005. She is retired from UNC-Asheville, where she was a member fo teh philosphy department for 25 years, as well as teaching in the Humanities program.

Michael Adams, Vice President

Mike is the president of Moog Music, Inc. He joined Bob in 2002 when the Voyager was under development. Under his guidance, Moog Music has flourished in Bob’s absence. Formerly, Mike was the Executive Vice Presdient of Sales & Marketing at CII Technologies and the Operations Manager for Square D Company.

Erin Rafolowski, Secretary

Erin is the operations manager for WriteMind Institute for Corporate Contemplation with offices in Asheville, NC and Greensboro, NC. She has designed experiences for individuals to find refuge in their work and for organizations to recognize and nurture emerging leaders. While living in Ithaca, NY, Erin was first introduced to the Moog legacy through time spent working with various cultural organizations and musicians.

Kathy Davis, Treasurer

Kathy is a certified public accountant who has lived and worked in the Asheville area since 1993.

Ashley Capps

Ashley founded Knoxville based AC Entertainment in 1991. AC Entertainment is a premier music promoting and booking company and is the co-producer for such festivals as Bonaroo Music and Arts Festival and Vegoose.

Steven Heller

Steven is a Grammy award-winning producer -composer whose work has spanned the spectrum of audio and video production. He has received numerous awards for his music and recordings including the American Library Association’s Notable Children’s Recording Award, various Parent’s Choice Awards as well as five Grammy nominations in the categories of Traditional/Folk and Spoken Word.

David Huskins

David is the Director of Development for Brevard Music Center in Brevard, NC.

Sean McDonald

Sean is an entrepreneur who focuses his work on design & technology. He is a co-founder of Jute Networks, a web software and services company that analyzes complex relationship networks to help their clients find sales leads, donors, new hires and strategic partners. Sean is board member of the Bob Moog Foundation and volunteer with HATCH Asheville–two non-profits that collectively raised nearly one million dollars in Asheville, NC in 2008. An area of particular interest for Sean is the technology tools that teach science through art. He graduated from UNC-Asheville in 2004.

Bill Sautter.

Bill is an entrepreneur, executive  and private investor. He is also a keyboardist/composer and synthesizer/instrument collector, has been playing Moog synthesizers since the 1970s; he owns one of the largest Moog modulars in the world. An accomplished concert and nature photographer,  Bill has works published in Guitar Player and KEYBOARDmagazines, and others.

Michael Selverne
