Combining tape loops with electronic instruments to make some of the most influential records of the 20th century and credited with inventing sampling.
Life, Laughter & Loops is a three part DVD featuring a 75 minute interview with Jean-Jaques, who traces his amazing life story. In part two, he gives a 25 minute lecture about his early recordings and loop techniques with the help of his archivist Dana Countryman. Finally, the third part features 13 tracks of Perry performing in clubs across Europe.
Life, Laughter & Loops was created by filmmaker Mal Meehan of M3D studios who is an electronic music enthusiast and a fan of Jean-Jaques Perry and Bob Moog. Mal has generously donated over 15 copies of the DVD to the Bob Moog Foundation so that 100% of the proceeds will go to support our programs. Thanks Mal!
