Staff – Meet the Team
Michelle Moog-Koussa, Executive Director
Michelle has been the Executive Director of the Bob Moog Foundation since its inception in 2005. Working alone from her basement office for the first five years, compelled by the worldwide network of people inspired by Bob Moog’s life and work, she lifted the organization from a volunteer-driven grassroots effort with limited funding to the educational and historic preservation force that it is today.
Michelle’s favorite moments in her daily work are seeing elementary school children light up when discovering the power of sound through Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, and witnessing visitors at the Moogseum engage with various aspects of the remarkable legacy of Bob Moog. It is her life’s work to bring Bob Moog’s legacy alive to inspire people of all ages to think more creatively about the world around them.
When not working, Michelle revels in her time with Joseph, her husband of 30 years, and their grown children, Gregory and Yasmine. She is a dedicated yogi, and an avid gardener, much like her mother and father.
Michelle is pictured with a Musonics Minimoog (top left), an R.A. Moog Minimoog (top right), a modified Moog Music Minimoog previously owned by jazz rock musician Tom Coppola (bottom left), and a Moog Music Minimoog Model D previously owned by American composer Gil Trythall (bottom right). Michelle’s mother, Shirleigh Moog, used to introduce the four Moog children as “the Minimoogs”, so Michelle feels right at home among these synths. All instruments are part of the Bob Moog Foundation Archives.
Craig Frustaci, Assistant Director
With a 20+ year career in non-profit management and a lifelong passion for all things music, the opportunity for Craig Frustaci to be part of the Bob Moog Foundation was a match made in circuitry heaven.
Craig enjoys all facets of the organization, from working at the Moogseum to attending events and trade shows to researching and furthering his knowledge about the Bob Moog legacy and the history of electronic music.
When not working, Craig enjoys his time hiking in the mountains or floating in his canoe on a river or lake. He is a proud father to his grown children, Melanie and Leo.
Craig is pictured here with our Micromoog and Multimoog, which has been signed by Bob Moog. Both synthesizers are part of the Bob Moog Foundation Archives.
Destiney Freeman, Moogseum Assistant Manager
Destiney obtained her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology, a skillset she applies to her work at the Bob Moog Foundation. She is unafraid to take on any challenge and is always happy to further extend herself in her work.
Destiney’s favorite moments include her time in the Moogseum. She loves seeing the excitement and engagement in the visitors from all corners of the globe. Some arrive with a predefined affinity for Bob Moog; others may not know much about him; but guests always leave having learned something new, and with huge smiles on their faces.
When not working, Destiney enjoys time with her loving pets. She also enjoys creating visual art, whether through physical mixed-media pieces or her digital creations. Destiney is also very proud to be working towards becoming a historian, following in her father’s footsteps.

David C. Lovelace,
Media Specialist
David brings a storied history of art and music to the Bob Moog Foundation. One-time readers of Keyboard might recognize him as the creator and author of The Packrat, especially those who share that character’s incurable Gear Acquisition Syndrome. The synthesized world that Bob Moog helped create is a topic near and dear to David, which was routinely reflected in not only his comic strip, but also a novel and two electronic music albums. He proudly owns an RIAA-certified Gold Record for creating an animated video for “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Since May 2017, working remotely, David has provided hundreds of visual assets for the Foundation. Among these contributions are many Moogseum exhibit visuals, which help give visitors a truly memorable experience. In July 2025, he joined the team in Asheville full-time to further his art career, drawing on his knowledge of synth history and musical performance.
David lives in Asheville with his beloved pets and is looking forward to finding musical performance opportunities in his new town while creating more Packrat comics, working on his second novel, and enjoying the beautiful vistas of the Blue Ridge Parkway on long, aimless drives.
David is pictured next to his prized “Twinimoogs”, a pair of 2025 Geddy Lee Minimoogs.
