The Bob Moog Foundation is thrilled to present the premiere of The Minimoog Book, an extraordinary new release from Bjooks, celebrating the deep history and impact of the Minimoog – the world’s most iconic analog synthesizer. Written by esteemed music historian and journalist JoE Silva, this book is the culmination of over a decade of research and captivating storytelling.
Be among the first to purchase The Minimoog Book at this exclusive event on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Moogseum in downtown Asheville, NC – the only location in the Southeast where the book will be available during this launch! Author JoE Silva and publisher Kim Bjorn will be present for the three different signing events.
Event Highlights:
- Afternoon Book Signing: JoE Silva will be signing books from 3 PM to 5 PM in the Moogseum Store, located at 56 Broadway Street in downtown Asheville. Limited copies will be available, so coming early is recommended, but you may drop in any time within the two hour timeframe.
No ticket or reservation is required for the drop-in, however we would appreciate you RSVPing here.
- Evening Talks, Performances & Signing: Join us for one of two separate presentations taking place, one at 7 PM and one at 8:30 PM in the Moogseum. Enjoy exclusive sessions featuring JoE Silva, publisher Kim Bjorn, and Michelle Moog-Koussa, daughter of Bob Moog and executive director of the Bob Moog Foundation. They’ll discuss the making of The Minimoog Book and Bob Moog’s lasting legacy.
JoE Silva will also sign books during these sessions, but advance book reservations are required.
Acclaimed keyboardist, composer and synthesist Erik Norlander will also perform live, and demonstrate Minimoog patches featured in the book at the evening events. Known for his expertise in progressive rock and Moog synthesizers, Norlander’s performances promise to be a thrilling demonstration of the instrument’s capabilities.
