Here’s a photo that says it all, from our home city’s own Marvelous Math Club, an affirmative, collaborative place for elementary school students to celebrate math after school.

We were there earlier this month to add a little technology to the mix, Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool style — with oscilloscopes, theremins, Moogerfoogers, and two Minimoog Voyager synthesizers.

Each child even received their own waveform poster.

Co-founded by a local university professor and the Executive Director of Equity and Community Engagement for Asheville City Schools, Marvelous Math Club supports kids with math homework questions, offers math games, and helps build strong community and leadership skills.

We were happy to be part of it! Inspiring the next generation through the intersection of science, music, technology, and innovation is what we do.
